xk3y Firmware v1.12 Released
Another day, another xk3y firmware to go along with it. This time around, the team has released version 1.12 to address an issue with reselling as well as other bugfixes. Who knew that a firmware update can fix a sales issue? Now only if Sony can follow suit and up their sales. Anyhows, here's what the new update will bring.
According to the team, there was an OEM version of the xk3y produced for Chinese resellers which would have the same functions as any other xk3y but only have Asian languages installed. It was a failed attempt made to keep that version of the xk3y within those specific regions. In other to allow non-Asian language speaking users to use the OEM version of the xk3y, the new firmware will add the rest of the languages.
Other than that, the Turkish and French languages have been added/updated, the Network Fail error message has been fixed and the latest version of Mr_Waffles' web app has been included. If your xk3y is registered, you can grab the firmware update below.

could someone explain to me what xk3y is, and does? what im getting from it, is that its a way to play your games via some kind of USB device. and also, what does the xk3y wifi thing that their website is talking about? i just got a 360S, so bear with me and my dumb questions :3
With the xk3y you can load .iso (XBOX360, XBOX, DVDs, CDs) Files from an USB Harddrive without JTAG. It emulates the DVD Drive. It works grate. Even with XBOX Live :3
About the WIFI Thing i cant tell anything. Havent tested it yet.
The XBOX Slim should work too without a problem.
Using the xk3y, it is still possible to run games on DVD drive or just the .ISO's?
my disk drive is broken and i was wondering if i should buy a new xbox i have the 4 gb black one with a 250gb hardrive should i just update my firmware and use iso or buy a whole new box
