Kinect May Be Integrated In Future Laptops

It's not Xbox news but... Kinect for Windows is slated for a release on February 1. Just like it's Xbox 360 counterpart, the device plans to bring motion gesture support for Windows based PCs. As we approach that date, there's a new rumor from the mill stating that Microsoft might just integrate Kinect into Windows based laptops, thus killing the need for the peripheral altogether.

The setup was spotted in two Asus laptops, both of which are running Windows 8. While this has not been confirmed or denied by Microsoft, this is still a very interesting concept that can be put into play. With the latest Xbox dashboard sporting both the Metro UI and Kinect, laptop integration can follow suit in terms of usage and operations. Maybe with a 55" TV on the wall and a fitted laptop connected, you may never have to use a mouse on Windows 8.

Who knows what may become of this.
