King of Fighters XIII Patch Finally Coming

No more lag for you!

SNK Playmore has announced that they are finally patching King of Fighters XIII to address the myriad concerns of the fans. Here's what will be included in the patch:

• Ranked Match Filtering - This will let you set standards for which opponents you will connect to. If your opponent's connection doesn't meet your standards, the match won't happen.
• Improved Filtering - This goes hand-in-hand with the above improvement, making it harder for opponents with bad connections to connect to you.
• Improved Connection Antenna - This provides a more consistent and accurate measurement of a player's connection.
• Temporarily Saved Custom Match Settings - As long as you remain in the PLAYER MATCH/RANKED MATCH menu you can continue to search for opponents with your preferred settings.
• Character-Specific Bug Fixes - "NESTS-Style" Kyo and Iori with the Power of Flames will not be unresponsive under specific circumstances any longer.
• Additional fixes, refinements, etc.

So it seems like this is a lot of no-brainer stuff that should have been handled a long time ago.

The game's North American publisher, Atlus, also announced that there would be a $10 price drop for the game to accompany its inclusion in the 2012 EVO fighting tournament. It's unclear if this price drop will apply to territories outside North America.

No date has been announced for the patch, just that it's coming "soon."
